Clear Refund &
Reversal Information.
This Refund Policy explains how failed, pending, duplicate or cancelled transactions may be handled when using PAYVANTA-supported services through applicable payment, banking or travel-provider arrangements.
Refund eligibility, reversal timelines and cancellation charges can vary significantly depending on the selected service and the rules of the underlying authorised provider.
Refund Policy Overview
PAYVANTA may provide access to different categories of services, including payment-related services, assisted financial services, merchant services and travel services. Each category can have a different refund, reversal or cancellation process.
In many cases, the final refund decision and processing timeline are controlled by the bank, payment provider, airline, hotel, travel aggregator or other underlying service provider.
Section 01
General Refund Principles
Refunds are not automatic for every transaction or service. The applicable outcome depends on the transaction status, selected service, provider terms and the reason for the refund request.
Section 02
Failed Transactions
A transaction may be considered failed when the applicable service provider does not complete the intended service but the customer's payment account may still show a debit.
In such cases, the underlying bank, payment provider or service system may initiate a reversal according to its reconciliation and settlement process.
Section 03
Pending Transactions
A pending transaction means the final outcome has not yet been confirmed by the applicable payment or service provider.
Customers and partners should wait for the final status before attempting another transaction for the same obligation, unless official provider guidance confirms that a retry is appropriate.
Section 04
Duplicate Payments
If the same service or obligation is paid more than once, the refund or adjustment process depends on how the service provider records the duplicate transaction.
Section 05
Successfully Completed Transactions
Once a transaction has been successfully processed and the requested service has been delivered or credited, it may not be eligible for cancellation or refund unless the applicable provider rules allow it.
Customers are responsible for reviewing account numbers, consumer numbers, card details, booking details, traveller names or other relevant information before confirmation.
Section 06
Travel Booking Cancellations & Refunds
Flight, hotel and holiday-package refunds are controlled by the fare rules and cancellation conditions of the applicable airline, hotel, tour operator or travel aggregator.
Section 07
Charges, Fees & Deductions
The final refund amount may differ from the original payment amount where cancellation charges, provider fees, taxes, service fees or other disclosed deductions apply.
The exact deduction depends on the service category and applicable provider terms.
Section 08
Refund & Reversal Timelines
Refund and reversal timelines are not identical across all services. They may depend on the payment method, acquiring or issuing bank, provider reconciliation process and service type.
Section 09
Disputes & Support Requests
If you believe a transaction has been incorrectly processed, raise the issue through PAYVANTA's official support channel and provide sufficient information for review.
Never share passwords, OTPs, PINs, CVV numbers or UPI PINs while requesting refund support.
Section 10
Examples Of Non-Refundable Situations
Subject to applicable law and provider terms, refund requests may be declined in situations such as:
Section 11
Changes To This Refund Policy
PAYVANTA may update this policy to reflect changes in services, provider relationships, legal requirements or operational processes.
Where service-specific provider terms differ from this general policy, the applicable provider or contractual terms may govern the transaction or booking.
Important Refund Policy Note
This is a general professional refund-policy template. Final refund rules should be aligned with PAYVANTA's actual payment providers, banking partners, travel providers, merchant contracts, service charges and customer-support processes.
Have the final policy reviewed by a qualified legal or compliance professional before publishing it as PAYVANTA's official refund commitment.
